sprint sells it's treo's without ever asking if you have windows xp media center. i had a 650 for 1 1/2 years, and it failed (constant white screens and delays, it turned into a piece of worthless crap) but i had a full coverage so it was replaced with the 755. my 650 and the palm desktop software supplied with a disc worked fine for the whole time with the 650 ?? even though palm says it is not compatible and they don't support it! guess i was lucky for a while! i hot synced constantly (had to with the constant data entered to be safe with these unstable devices) and used a several sd cards with lots of pictures and files, and all backed up fine. i never knew it wasn't supposed to be compatible, as i was never told, and since it always work...

Usually if you are a PDA or smartphone user you do research before you buy, if the rep does not know what he is talking about thats to be expected because most of them just bull s*** you till you buy. Trust me i would know. But you should blame sprint reps they are just trying to make a pay check. You should be self reliant cause not everyone is going to tell you that they dont know.

Most Sprint Reps AND their techs do not have access to Windows XP Media Center as their computers run Windows 2000 (Have never seen a store with even standard XP) so a Treo or its software is never "experienced". You should have went with the "Touch" with Windows Media 6 for a better result with XP (Feb. issue of Money magazine even touts this phone as the best smart phone on the market :This even beat out the super glamerous iPhone🙂. Im sure most will disagree with this post but its just my 2 cents. 🤣
