Sanyo MM-7400

Several weeks ago I purchased the MM-7400. After getting home with it, I have found that the reception is very poor. I used to get a full 4 bars of service with my old Sanyo 5600 when sitting at my office desk, now I only get 1 or 2. I have been sitting at my house and had a called dropped 3 times. Other times People leave messages on my voicemail and my phone never rang.

Has anyone else had these issues?

I had Sprint exchange the MM-7400 for another one, and I still have the same issues.

don't worry your phone is not deffective. the new sanyos will not show as strong of signal as the old sanyos. every thing from the 8200 on the signal; strength indicator has been changed. the other manufacturers complained to sprint that sanyo showed such better signal then there phones so sprint made sanyo change there phones so they will red the exact same signal as every other kind of sprint phone. not to worry they still receave the same great sanyo sgnal it just is not visable.

but my honest openion. stick with the sanyo 5000 searies. the 7000 searies and the 8000 searies have now been as good of quality. that being said however the 8100 is the best phone i have ever sean for signal period!

The number of bars doesn't worry me as much as sitting at my kitchen table using the 7400, and having a call dropped 3 or 4 times, when I had never had a call dropped at my home with the 5600.
