Sanyo 8100
Hi,
is there a reason that sprint doesn't carry the other colored versions of the 8100 on their website? I went to my local radio shack here in hilo hawaii and i seen the blue one and a purplish colored one.
We don't have a coporate sprint store here so my only option would be to go to radio shack or call sprint.
Is there a difference when purchasing from radio shack rather than from the provider itself?
Also, why is that sprint's website doesn't carry the colored versions of the phone? Any known problems that differ with each color?
thanks replies greatly appreciated.

The alternate color 8100's were only sent out on a limited basis, kinda like a limited edition. We haven't had them in my sprint store for about 3 months. Good Luck! ðŸ¤

There is no difference. Sprint only had Sanyo make so many of the colored models. If you happen to find a colored version, it simply means they still have some of those left. As far as Radio Shack goes, I'd recommend buying from a Sprint Store. If you hapen to live in a market that is operated by one of Sprint's affiliates, most affiliate stores will not warranty phones purchased from RS. RS has their own repair center and your phone must be sent off to either be fixed or replaced. Buying from a Sprint store, you can get fixed or replaced on the spot.

Oh yeah...if you are planning on buying the 8100, I would wait for the 8200 to be released in late April instead. You get a flash, speakerphone, and Ready Link.
