Sanyo 8100 data cable?

Does the 8100 cable sold separetely let you download your pictures to your computer? If so, could someone let me know what other perks this cable would have? (USB and serial available?)

the Serial data cable is very good for the download music, pictures y photos of the camera, the best software for these is the Snapmedia of Future Dial, see www.theneoweb.com, you match various datacables for much models of cellphones,
