Help needed - Sanyo 9000 ESN

Had a Sanyo brick. Got a Sero Plan. Trying a Centro. More than I need and miss the voice quality of the 4900 I deactivated. Still time
to return Centro. Want a newer phone than 4900
but want the signal strength and, newer EVDO
web speed and tether capability. 4900 was slow
for web access and cumbersome -but fantastic
signal.
Chapter 2.
Rushed into an ebay buy on a Sanyo MM9000. Found out too late- ESN is still "active" and the wholesaler selling it can't deactivate it.

What's as good as a 9000 for voice/reception quality comparable to the 4900 in the Sanyo line
for Sprint. Katana doesn't sound like it ranks
in that class.. 9000 looks good but i screwed
up and didn't check the ESN first. Otherwise
looked like a great move u...

As a previous owner of a 9000 for 2 years, the next best handset is the Katana DLX. The MP3 sound is a not as loud as the 9000, but picks up equal reception and is still loud enough to be heard in a noisy environment. Plus it's blue-tooth where the 9000 isn't
