Re: Chapter 2 - Rapture

Jack opened the, now heavily splintered, glass door to the sub feeling strangely unafraid. As he stepped out he slipped almost falling into the water behind him. Looking down there was a stack of picket signs and then more of them strewn about the room with phrases like "Rapture is Dead" and "Down with Ryan". Rifle shells litter the room and crimson stains are splashed on the walls, the windows, and floor of the room. A chandelier lies shattered in the middle of the floor in what must have been the waiting area to what Jack now sees was a transit station. Well, it's official, something is wrong and he no longer feels so reassured by Atlas' speech. Jack rounds the corner into what was the entrance hallway to the room and notices a large schedule board will all terminals marked as DELAYED.
The exit to the room has been caved in by debris and Jack radios Atlas.

Jack: Atlas, the doors blocked in, is there another way out of here?

Atlas: Your gonna have to find a tool or something and get the door cleared. Just keep an eye out for splicers as they'll be coming back soon.

Jack begins removing debris from the doorway but a rock is lodged in between a few others so he starts looking around. There's a large wrench on the ground and he jams it in between the rock and ground and begins trying to pry it out of place. A faint *thump* sounds from back in the bathysphere waiting area. Jack turns and walks to the edge of the lobby and peeks into the main room only to find that a new splicer is now sniffing around the dead man searching for something. He quickly ducks back into the hallway and radios in

----Jack: There's one of those splicer things in here with a machete and he's sniffing around in the wating room.

----Radio: Freakin Ryan! He must have sent some more. Alright kid, you've gotta get out of there quick, would you kindly get that doorway open and try to find something to defend yourself with. I'll try to get you some help.

Jack ran back to the door and stepped on the rigged lever/wrench putting all of his weight on it to try and dislodge the piece of rubble. It finally pops loose but produces a loud crash as the rubble above it splashes out into the hallway. Jack ,now frantically, starts throwing debris out of the way as he knows that must've caught the attention of the splicer. He promptly appears around the corner of the lobby. He had another of those masks on and was wearing a beat up baseball uniform, what is going on with these people? What are they looking for? He looked malnurished and was generally ragged looking with this crazy look in his eye like an opium addict back home.

----Slugger: What are you doing there boy?

Jack got the radio out as quick as he could and started yelling the splicer has come. Just as he did a machine gun started loudly spitting bullets, he dove for cover. Peering out from behind a pile of rubble he saw a spotlight tracking the splicer and some kind of helicopter machine guiding it. It was a metal cube with a machine gun slung underneath it and a spotlight up on top, it tore a hole in the splicer and left him gasping for air on the ground.

----Atlas: Kid get moving! You've gotta get out of this room quick now, there will be more coming and that security bot will only last so long.

Jack jumped up and started digging out what was left of the rubble pile trying to make a hole large enough to crawl through. A half dozen splicers jumped down from above, these with guns, and got into a firefight with the bot. The 6 deftly manuevered behind cover and popped up to take shots at the bot while it was firing at them. Jack had finally poked a hole through the rubble and slithered through into the other room. The six were starting to take a tole on the bot and it began smoking as it turned to head for the door. Full speed ahead it plowed into one side of the door , destroying itself, and collapsing the doorway back again, sealing the room and leaving the splicers with no easy way to follow Jack.
