Well, My old phone battery is getting weak and I'm really really excited 'bout the new ones, 'specially the 9900, but nowhere in any site can I see it comes with or will even have available a CHARGING CRADLE!!!! Does anyone but me think this is inexcusable? I hate the little weak plugs and think a lot of problems arise from useage, not to mention the lack of convienience with a cradle! 👿

Don't know what to say about that, but do which you could charge two batteries at one time. I believe most companies are pretty much going with travel chargers. Have you tried audiovox's website?

I know they were available for the Audiovox CDM 9500 as I bought (2) for $5 each. I was looking at the 9950 and the dimensions look the same, yet every time a updated model comes out the receptacles and hardware are altered. This planned obsolescence does nothing to create good will. I did'nt answer your question, but we can only hope so. For what they charge you for these phones, (locked or unlocked) everything should provided in the price. EVERYTHING !!!! Cheers!!! 🙄

I couldn't agree more about the importance of a charging cradle!
As a mater of fact, just bought another charging cradle for my Audiovox 9500 today!. One got altered and used as a car holder. One I use to charge and hold my phone securely on the table everyday.
Also, the charger preserves the life span of the bottom charge port comtacts, since the port is not used to charge, so is not subjected to strain or wear.
Also, it's much easier to simpley snap the cell phone into the horizontal cradle, than to fumble around trying to find the black charger plug end and then get it plugged in the right way.

Wish it had a dual charger, so I can charge an extra battery OUTSIDE the handset. I got a wall socket plug in, single battery charger. Wi...

Whats even worse is the charging cradle will not be compatible with the phone when you use the larger extended life battery. Than is a oversight that is un-excusable. I would be curious as to how you modified the CDM-9500 cradle for your car? I picked up (2) cradles for $5 each. I am at the moment not using either one due to the extended battery and cover not fitting in the cradle. 😳

The problem is using an aftermarket extended battery/back cover. The OEM extended batteries work fine with the desktop charger. The aftermarket batteries just created to many incompatibility problems to work smoothly on a day to day basis, in my experience. A quick click into the desktop charger is very convenient. And the aftermarket batteries just didn't have anywhere near the claimed power output.

I tore out all the guts and cut, ground and epoxied, to make a strong hole though the desk charger's end, then used the phones port and not the cradles port. Not recommended, but I use mine (screwed to the car dash) all the time. It's very handy... Wonder if a car cradle, seperate from the car install kit could be located?

There may a simp...
