Audiovox
Text Messaging Error
So I called up my carriers technical support and asked if there was anything wrong with the system, or my account or whatever and they said everything looked fine. The tech got me to try and send her a message, didn't work. Then she tried to send me a message too and that didn't work either. She then got a coworker in the office who has an 8900 to send me a message and THAT didn't work. But the tech sent the coworker a message and she replied to it just fine. So the tech diganosed it as a problem with the phone and Audiovox's tech support number and sent me on my way.
*sigh*
So I call up Audiovox and after wading through the 5 minute voice-activated thing and being forwarded a handful of times, I finally get an Audiovox tech and start to explain my problem when he cuts me off midsentence by blurting out "HAVE YOU CALLED YOUR CARRIER?!?". Well yeah I called my carrier that's the first place I tried. I tried to give him the error class and cause code numbers I had but he basically told me to send the phone in to have it repaired, all on my dime. (Screw that)
So does anyone know why text messaging would suddenly not work after working properly for 6 months? The message that comes up after trying to send is "Failure General Problems" (While the envelope is sinking into the water), and going into the message status shows the Cause Code as 38 and Error Class as 02. Any help would be reaclly appreciated.
