What's Wrong With My Dad's V3m Razr?

Hi,

My Dad has a Motorols Razr V3m that he bought refurbished last June because his old one froze up. The problem is that even when he is not using it, the battery life will go down quicker than it does regulary, even if it is fully charged. While it was still under warranty, he took it to a Verizon store not too long ago to get a replacement battery. Since this is his sceond battery, should he just get a new phone or a new battery?

Your help is greatly apperciated!

he should bring it into verizon because it sounds like the phone itself has a problem. but the easiest way to avoid this problem is to never buy used/refurbished phones.
