HELP! Unlocked V3 software messed-up!

I just received two "new" unlocked V3 phones from electronics-4-u and they appear to have been programmed for the British market - for example, the menu item for 'personalization' shows 'personalisation' - anyway, I don't know how to program the voicemail function (my last unlocked phones didn't require anything special for this). I called local Cingular/ATT and asked them what they'd charge to update the software in the phones and they have no clue what I'm talking about - what should I do?
thanks,
steve

Do you have a Voice Mail Box number programmed in it under messaging?

Thanks for the reply - yes, I put the SIM card back into one of the old phones and got the vm number, entered it and now at least the new phones will call email - So now the problem is the poor reception and strange menus - The menus are obviously in "British" 🙂 and they don't contain the expected items - for example, I can't get the phones to display am/pm time format, there's no "software upgrade" option under phone status, etc. I THINK that this is all fixable by flashing new firmware, but I can't find anyone to do it - ideas?

If you get on the Motorola website it has instructions on flashing software or there is a technical help line that they will be able to walk you through it.
