There used to be several websites offering unlock (subsidy) codes based on the IMEI number of the phone. This was achieved by having someone that worked at Motorola with access to their DB. It seems that Motorola has now cracked down on this type of activity and the only way at the moment to obtain the proper subsidy code for your phone is to:
1. Contact your wireless carrier and ask them for it. T-Mobile will email them to you after being a customer in good standing for at least 90 days. Some carriers require you to pay, and some will not give them out at all, e.g. AT&T Wireless.
2. Bring it into a local phone shop (or you can mail it in) that unlocks your particular phone with a hardware/software device aka "Clip"
3. Download a small software client and use a USB data cable to unlock your V600 yourself. This type of service requires a stable internet connection, and a Windows (98/ME/2K/XP) based computer.
