Help. I have a Motorola RAZR V3. I have not been able to connect to my home phone answering machine to check messages. When I press the PIN during the greeting, I should get connected, but for some reason the pin is not being sent to my answering machine. When I push the buttons they do not make a sound. Does anyone know how to sent a PIN DURING a call to my answering machine. Thanks. Jack

Your DTMF tones are turned off, basically your phone is not a touch tone phone. This is a setting that you can change, i can't tell you where it is because i don't know what V3 you have or what software is on it. Your best bet is to stop in a store and have a rep do it for you, it should only take a minute if they know what they are doing.

Most home answering machines also require that you interupt the greeting with # or similar before entering your code.

TrappedATWork, thanks for the info. I'll check my phone manual and if necessary go to my carrier's store.

Cellinovation, thanks for the help. I have a very old answering machine that does not require the # or similar before code. Also, we can access the answering machine using my wife's cell phone or from land lines w/o using # sign.
