My friend has a Nokia and I was about to get one too until I saw this phone. I really like ALL the features on the 6600(camera, video, infarad, bluetooth, speakerphone, mp3,...ALOT MORE). Can anyone please tell me if there is ANY FEATURES that this one lacks compares to the 6600? --also of all the new phones coming out from nokia(6260, 7260, 7610...) which one is the best world phone? thanks

I can only speak of the 6260 and the 7610 as those are the only phones I have used. The 6260 is technically not a 'world phone' as it only is tri-band, not quad-band. It works on 850mhz, 1800mhz, and 1900mhz, which will likely cover you if you travel through much of Europe. The 6620 is a very feature-rich phone but is slightly larger than the average phone out there. It does have a large, high-res display and works great with streaming video. The feature I like with Nokias is how they utilize bluetooth. When you receive a call and are without your bluetooth headset, the Nokia is the only phone you can attach your headset and still answer the call on the headset. It also is the only phone where you can transfer a call from the phone to ...

Thanks for the response. yes, i beleive the 7610 has the bluetooth technology. It would be my choice only if it had IR also. Based on the specs on this site. does anyone know for sure if the 7610 has IR or not?

Triband phones are considered "world" phones.

The 6260 does not have edge, other than that it looks to be a nice phone.

You might want to check out the Nokia 6255i Smart phone... It might do everything you want it too. Has a calendar & contacts list and just about everything else you could ever think of. One of the longest list of features of any phone I have seen.

Hope that helps.

I beleive the 6255i is locked to CDMA/AMPS. Will I be able to unlock that phone to make it work on my gsm provider, t-mobile?
