Xenon flash. 5Mp camera. add these to Facebook they rock. Plus I take tons of famly get together pics and email them off. Friends & family really are getting to like this camera because the pics are SO good. I've used the video mode some, good but not digi-cam quality.
GPS. I never subscribed to turn by turn voice but just having the GPS to zoom in get me nearby street names helps me get the last few blocks to an address when I'm in an unfamiliar neighborhood.
Built in Speakers. I'm a news junky & keep it uploaded with fresh podcasts all the time, and set it next to me when I'm doing chores, or just in a shirt pocket. They're loud enough to work whenever there's low background noise.
WiFi surfing-I use the web browser a ton, but favor wifi zones. 411.com is how I look up phone numbers-its super fast to load. Read the NYtimes, others. Look up addresses on Google that I'm driving too, phone numbers, movies.
Don't get me wrong this phone has irritations too-I bet 3G would be nice, the included headset is OK(back of the neck/necklace strap is useful, buds are to big to fit in my ears well). I would really like a better handsfree. There's a lot of "too many button push" situations~ from what I hear you can customize it super whip .. I probably ought to look into it. Also - what I wouldn't give for media buttons. The music implementation is weak. I have yet to figure out how to start in the "middle" of a podcast- always have to start at the beginning.
Battery- I have to recharge every night to go a whole day. and if I'm using it unusually heavily, a 20 minute top off during the day is required.
OK thats my N82 bit-like I said I talk it up and show it off a ton. If you get a N79 I'd love to compare notes down the road. I'm supposed to give this phone to my nephew in May if he gets all A's ... oh hell I hope he gets a B. Good luck !
