Sometimes when making a call I get "connection error" then it works fine but it bugs. I changed the sim and it hasn't happened anymore. I do get connection timed out error when online, I HATE that error. I go to google or yahoo or any site. wait a bit or type a search and when i try to start the search, "connection timed out". I need to click on it again and again and again and again for it to work. I had the same issue with my n76 also. ☚ī¸ Still love nokia. Best phone makers ever.

Interesting that I have no problem with my internet connection only my phone connection.I read online that if you take it out of dual mode(ie:GSM or UMTS)and just use GSM it should stop the connection time outs. I will try it this week. I read on some of the forums a similar problem that you are encountering. Do you have ATT as your carrier? If so...are you using mMode or MediaNet. The former is a blue Sim card and latter is orange. On ATT web forums they have posted the parameters necessary for mMode and MediaNet access points. Check you specs. Hope it helps.

I do have it in dual mode and am using medianet. I can't pinpoint the problem because I had the same problem with the n76 which I had on just GSM mode because the 3g is not US. I am using the new card. 2 days ago I went to get a new sim card and the problem is still there.

Ok, Those settings are exactly what I have, except for the homepage. I changed it and am gonna try it out for a while to see if I still get the error. This small error is the only thing I don't like about my phone. If I can fix this issue my phone would be perfect. 😎 Do you have the rotateme program on your phone? Its really good but strange that the hardware capabilities were on the phone but no software was included.

Not having that homepage really shouldn't cause the issue your having but I hope it helps.
I don't have rotateme...what is it??
I have been using my phone in UMTS mode only this week. So far I haven't had any connection errors. I hope this works because I really like this phone except for the call drop outs.

is a program that can run in the background without showing up on the list of open programs and it enable the sensors on the phone to rotate the the screen when you turn the phone to the side. It works great but you need to sign the program yourself to get it working.
