The Nokia 7250 series is INCREDIBLE, but WHY wont it work here in the US?
I mean, it operates on the same GSM networking system as the U.S. (900/1800/1900), well actually most U.S. systems (that is GSM) runs at 850, but is there really a difference between 850 and 900 or is there something other than this difference that I dont see which would cause problems?

You should have no problems using an unlocked 7250(i) with T-Mobile or AT&T. T-Mobile is all GSM 1900, and AT&T is mostly GSM 1900.
Cingular is another story. If you are in California or NYC area, then your should be fine, but most other places Cingular is GSM 850, so you'd be out of luck.
Yes, there really is a difference between 850 and 900. They are different frequencies, which isn't as simple as it sounds. If it was easy, all GSM phones would be quad-band.
If you like the 7250 features, consider the 3200, which should be out soon. There will be a version with GSM 850 offered by AT&T and Cingular soon. It has most of the 7250 features, plus a few extra like EDGE.
Or, if you can wait a few months, the 6230 will also be availabl...
