6682- Many Issues and questions
I just got this phone a few days ago, and while I think it's by far the best phone I've ever had, it (and me) are having growing problems.
First question is really dumb but I have to ask it. When the phone is brand new out of the box, does it have the sticky clear film covering the screen? I ask because mine didn't and it had some very small scratches in the screen, but the sales guy at the "authorized retailer" cingular store said it was new. I got a great deal on the phone so I thought nothing of it at the time.
Anyway, I get it home and I have a devil of a time trying to get my PC (sony vaio w/ windows XP and service pack 2) and the phone to sync up. The PC won't sync with the phone, but when I create a contact in PC Suite a...

did you get your help? I also just purchased a 6682. Yeah, you didn't want to format your card. Boom, it's all gone. Yes it should have had a cover on the screen. Mine did anyway. Let me know how you do with Cingular. YOu should be able to download all of the files from Nokia and add them back to the phone. If worse comes to worst, get a card reader that does MMC and use that to transfer files. I got a new 1GB card and it is much faster that way. If you get a new card make sure it is dual voltage or it won't work.
