Thinking about a Nokia 3560

I currently have a Nokia 3360. I have had it for about 2 years now; and I am ready to upgrade. I am thinking of purchasing a 3560. The only problem is that I don't care for the new Polyphonic ringtones. I don't think that they are loud enough. I am afraid to buy one because my 3360 is so loud and it vibrates along with the ringer. Does the 3560 have this feature or is it vibrate or ring? Also; are the rings loud? Thanks for your input. I am an owner of the 3560. It is a solid phone with a pretty crisp color display. As for the ringtones, some of the polyphonic are a little hard to here if there is some noise around you or the phone is in a pocket. The phone can vibrate along with the ring (simutaneously) which is almost a necessity. Even with the ringer volume set to five some are still pretty hard to hear. But, I would have to say it is a much better phone than the 3360.

Thank you for your input. What do you like about the 3560 compared to the 3360? The only thing that is making me not want to give it up is the loud ring and the vibrate. Is the clarity better? I am finding that my phone is cutting out alot more than it used to.

I have the 3560 on AT&T wireless and I don't believe I have had great reception except in some basements. As for the clarity I have had no problems what so ever. Comparing the two, the 3560 is a little bigger and a lot more functional. If you are really bent on a loud ring tone and vibrate the 3560 won't give you an A+ performance in that category. However, there are a couple of ringtones that are substantially louder and there is the option of the vibrate and ring together. As for software, they are very similiar. A few more features for the 3560 because it has the color capability giving it a slight edge. What service provider do you have? My 3560 has great clarity. Also, the vibrate matches up with the ringtone so the vibrating g...

I have Cincinnati Bell Wireless; who is a carrier of AT&T. Do you mean that you haven't had good reception anywhere except in basements? I am confused by what you meant.

Yeah. What I meant is that I have had pretty good reception around the chicagoland area except in basements where I don't get good reception.

That's normal. The radio frequencies can't penetrate down there.

It cracks me up when verizon fans claim superiority, when they get a signal in their basement because there's a tower next door to their house but can't get a signal down the street... If verizon "can when no other service can", then sprint would be just as good because they use the same technology. But, they aren't because they don't have as many towers in the area. Verizon's only "real" claim in superiority is their large network which isn't really as vast as it claims. Cingular's gsm network is now rivaling Verizon's cdma network and once it completes GSM conversion, will be on par or better. Not too mention the upcoming Cingular/ATT combo... it may have some intital problems launching but, once all the bugs are worked out, Cingular's GSM...
