Ive been looking around and I truly like the Nokia 7250i (the reviews are great and not to mention all the features it has). So when calling up Cingular to see if they carry it, of course the answer is "no".
So I then resort to "E-Bay" where one can purchase almost anything and everything.. Well, Im a bit scared as to if it will still work over here (yes, GSM 850/1800/1900).

1) What are the things in which I need to make sure of in order for this phone to work?

2) Does anyone know of any "negative" comments on the 7250i?

3) If this doesnt work out, the other two phones which Im also interested in are the:

B) SonyEricsson T616

Any "positive" or "nega...

If you have Cingular, and plan to use the phone anywhere other than NYC and California, you need a phone with GSM 850. The 7250i is not such a phone, nor is the T610.

The T616 will work - it has GSM 850.

I had a T68I for about 3 months, the receiver lacked so much sensitivity that it would quit working in nearly any structure, there are 4 Nokia's in my family, each of those worked flawlessly in areas that my T68I wouldn't get a signal in or out. Sony checked it out and said it was within spec. the receiver was terrible to say the least, the SE p800 & 610/616 have the same antenna and receiver that the T-68I had (So I have been told) so do your homework before buying one of those, look at some reviews here as well. http://www.mobiledia.com/reviews/rating.html

Good Luck.
