Alternative to 6230 w/ more features

I am looking to upgrade;
I prefer quad band GSM;
Also, I would like features compared to 6230:
- ability to read the screen in sun light
- if I miss a call, phone periodically beeps (I had this on a Motorola phone)
I heard of N95 with GPS - I am also looking for something less expensive - we have a family plan.
Any recommendations
