My recommendation, and this is with ANY phone, would be to power the phone down when charging it overnight. This is for two reasons:
1.) Like computers, cell phones need to "reboot" every once in a while to stay, uh, "fresh". It helps to reset certain features and the way it transmits/receives signal from the towers.
2.) Doing it this way gives the battery a "fuller" charge and helps extend the overall life of the battery.
Again, this is suggested for ANY cell phone out there today.
