Answers to Your Questions (I think)...
1. The "volume bug" refers to a problem that happens in the first few seconds of an incoming call. The earpiece volume is extremely low, then it comes up to normal. Mine has it, but it is not a huge deal.
2. The only firmware released for the 6100 so far is T61VZV01.
3. I have read in the last few days that LG has just released a firmware update to VZW, who is now testing it before releasing it to the public. They said that this update would fix the volume bug. If this is true, firmware T61VZV02 will be ready soon, and I'll be headed to the VZW store to get it.
Something else to check - if your phonebook was transferred from another phone, check and re-enter any hard/soft pauses you may have in it. Apparently the 6100 treats them a little differently from older phones, and they do not translate well when copying contact lists. I found this out the hard way - from a VZW tech after the phone book from my old 4500 was moved to my new 6100, and calls from the phone book with pauses would not be completed. No big deal - after going into contacts and manually re-entering these pauses, they all worked fine...
