Savy Chocolate vs. LG VX8300
Ok. so heres the deal. My current two year plan ends this week and I have to buy a new phone and renew my plan. I have to choose a cell phone that I wish to have for the next two years and it has been narrowed down to either the Chocolate or the LG VX8300. I've seen many ads and read many things about the chocolate. Its been raved for its appealing exterior and ability to perform as both a phone and an mp3 player. I wouldn't mind having those two in one package. The LG VX8300 has a nice sporty look and from what I've read it has everything you look for in a phone and it works well.

Overall, the 8300. The 8500(chocolate) doesn't have a speakerphone and doesn't have stereo speakers. The 8300 is really loud too and great reception. 8500 has an internal antenna and might not have reception as good as the 8300. As for bluetooth, some people have had problems with echoes but i haven't experienced that so far. Chocolate does look IPODish and cool but 8300 can hold it's own.

i was jumping between chocolate, 8300 and a930. i think the look of the 8300 is outdated, external antennae and the tapered roud shape. the choclate looks sick, like a black ipod, and very clean. u can make calls without opening it too so it always looks sick. i got the a930 because it saved me 50 bucks from the chocolate, but its been a pain to synch with the music so im returning it i think. i am also worried about the battery drain with the chocolate when using as mp3. itd replace my dell player at the gym. let me know what youre choice is, and maybe help with my own.

Dude I haven't tried the 8300 yet, but I can tell u this. Don't waste your money on the Chocolate. That phone literally utterly sucks. It is finger cramps waiting to happen. The keypad on that thing is so small & inefficient. VZW put out so much money to advertise a peice of ****. Personally I think u should get the LG 9800. Rumor has it the 9900 will be arriving in stores sometimes in the month and a half. Its a great all-purpose phone. Cool features. Reliable service. And it can take a beating. I drop this phone so much. I get out of the car with it in my lap & it takes a dive all the time. I just pick it up & go about my day!! Hope this was helpful

i made my decision and i've decided to get the 8300. It just feels a lot more durable and dependable than the chocolate. I think more people are having technical difficulties with the chocolate whether it be with the key pads, mp3 or etc. I like how the 8300 looks and it is very simple to use. Its has the all the features I need in a phone. I think the mp3 is just a bonus to me. What I need is a phone that won't cause any problems or most importantly stress. 8300 > Chocolate.
