So I use an iGo charger. And per their web site I've got the correct power tip for the Dare.

It does charge the phone, although it seems to take really long to charge the Dare.
But besides that every time I plug it in the phone says this charger isn't recommended for the phone.

I don't get it. 😕

The iGo, as well as any other non-OEM (original Equipment Manufacturer) charger voids the warranty on the Dare. This includes Wal-Mart's entire line of home chargers and car chargers, and most of Best Buy's.

Truth be told, if something does go wrong with the phone, there's rarely a way to prove it's due solely to the charger and hence the phone will generally be replaced anyway. There have been a few situations though when Verizon refused to replace a phone because using a non-OEM charger was evident, in which case an insurnace claim ($50 deductible) will replace it.
