New LG touch soon
I was at the Verizon store today and they tell me in about a month there will be a new LG smartphone windows based with a touch screen. Anyone know anything about this or have some pics?

it's going to be called the versa. vespa's are like motor scooters. they're supposed to release it in early march, it'll have a detatchable keyboard, detatchable gaming controller and detatchable external speakers.

afaik, the only one of those available at launch will be the keyboard which will come with the device in box (engadgetmobile has pictures of an unboxing of the phone showing what it comes with)
they also have pics from the internal launch package (still marked with all the confidential, for internal use only, etc markings) showing that the game controller won't be available at launch.

well... the game controller sounds cool. but i don't think i personally would use it very much. maybe that's just me, but that's not really a big deal. i'm just happy about the keyboard. do you know if the speakers are going to be available at launch?

I haven't seen anything about speakers besides support for bluetooth ones, and nothing that attaches except via the 2.5mm stereo port...

oh, on the engadget website they had the drawings for the speakers but they didn't attach in the same place the keyboard & game controller did. they attached at either the top or bottom of the phone, i dont remember which. but if the game controller doesn't come with the phone then the speakers, assuming there are ones, probably won't either.
