VX 5550
Hi guys!
I'm a Cingular Agent in the upper part of NC. I'm originally from VA and I still have family and friends there. I opted to keep my ALLTEL phone for when I go to visit since Cingular doesn't have any coverage in VA (yet?). I've become eligible for an upgrade from my v60x and I'd LOVE to hear what everyone thinks about the VX 5550. I've had a couple of chances to play around with it, but not to make any calls or really get to know it. I like what I've seen so far, but I haven't seen much. I'd love to hear the good and the bad before extending my contract for 2 years and droppin 80 bucks which would normally not be a problem, but I just started my job here and $$'s still kinda tight. Thanks a lot in advance!!!

i have alltel and i love the 5550. its a good phone it gets excellent reception. its very easy to use. ive never looked at the manual once. the speaker phone is nice and loud, you can hear it easily driving down the road, but you have to pretty much yell at it for the other person on the line to hear you. in my opinion the driving mode sucks. it supposed to conform to your voice. but you have to talk in the same tone everytime need the use it. those are the only 2 cons i have think of. otherwise its an excellent phone.
