Kyocera

I signed up for email on my new Kyocera KXv1 on Verizon and cannot figure out what to do to set up the account. I click on "send an email" and it says no account. I click on "new account" and it asks about custon POP or custon IMAP. I have no idea what either of those are, so I just chose one. Then it asked for name, but I don't know if they want my name or the name of the person that I want to email. So I put in my nmae and hit okay. Then it asked for address and then it okay but a message came up about SMTP and do not edit this....I am completely lost because there is nothing in the booklet that came with the phone about how to set up the email (I'm using AOL), and their "help" wasn't. Thanks for anyone who can give me some advice on this. I sighned up for the email option a week ago and still can't figure it out. Any help appreciated.
