Release is soon. I had a chance to ply with it the oter day and I can tell you it is a real nice phone. I like the 'flip' feature. Bright, sharp screen for picture-caller ID. Good camera with the rotating barrel lens. What is not to like?

I just bought the a610 but I am annoyed at the lack of support. I do not want to pay Verizon to upload pictures for me to my computer. I bought a usb data cable for it on Ebay but it came without the advertised software. Samsung not only does not provide the software or the cable for it but doesn't even respond to my email. It seems to couldn't care less about supporting their telephone customers.

The only software I could get to work with this phone is datapilot. You can create and edit .mid files with a program called anvil and then upload them to your phone with datapilot. I have tried all of the other software for the a 610 and datapilot is the only one i could get to work. I bought my cable off ebay and downloaded datapilot off the internet. That 1.99 a ringtone from verizon is bullcrap. with datapilot and anvil, i can make my own ringtones, edit any midi file into a ringtone, manage and transfer my pics from my phone to my pc and manage my phonebook. give it a try. If you need any help, email me at danshea1@hotmail.com .

I bought the Audiovox 8900 the other day and I kept it for a day. It is not the greatest phone that Verizon has put out. I'm waiting for the Samsung...Verizon has it on their homepage now and it should be hitting the stores within the next week. It's got some wonderful features, including a built-in flash! I would say that you'd be better off to wait and get it. 😁
