why i9300 no indication for messages and calls

I noticed there are some problems after updating the system and using a mpj extended battery on the Galaxy S3. No indication for messages and calls, not showing battery status, is this normal? If not how can I fix it? Thank you.

try factory reset normally there's always something wrong when there's a new update.
