SAMSUNG a920 - Ringtones

MnMs

Jan 16, 2006, 11:38 PM
I bought a Samsung a920 and can not change the ringtones to custom ringtones, I know how to make them (mp4). But I do not know how to load them.

I go to Menu, Settings, Sound, Ringer Type, Voice Calls, and when I select Voice calls I only get the options:
-single tones
-ring tones
-melodies
-downloads

How do I point to the trans flash card, is this possible to do? Any help would be appreciated.

I have the phone, and as far as I know you cannot use a ringtone that is on the card. It has to be in the my content folder...

I just went to www.3gforfree.com and downloaded a couple to my phone. www.3gupload.com is supposed to be good, too.

Hope this helps... 🙂

Downloading ringtones, applications as well as games without a Power Vision package(starts at $15.00/month) will cost you $0.02 per kb. My "Click Click Boom" by Saliva(from the now cancelled Wanted series on Fox) is 410 kb so without the Power Vision would cost you $8.20.

I have the same phone and the answer is, yes you can put custom ringtones in it, but here is what I do:
I use Itunes to convert the MP3 songs that I have in my pc to an ACC format, then I modify the lenth of the song, I select the part of the song that I want as ringtone and then save it, after that I use an up loader like: http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/
and then I upload the file, then, that uploader is gonna give you a code, after you get the code, browse the internet w your phone and type this adress
http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/jump.php »
and is gonna ask you for the code, just type it in and download the file, after download it select "set as" and then select "voice calls" and there you go.
Just make sure you have a plan w unlim...

This site is also really good

http://dbringers.info/wap.php »

Go to it from your phone and download away (you may have to wait a couple days for your account to be approved, but it's worth it)
