Tethering via USB Cable & Samsung PC Studio 3

I've used Samsung PC Studio 3 via USB cable to connect to the Sync and browsed the internet before leaving on vacation.
Everything worked perfectly. Upon arriving in Spokane, Washington, I cannot connect. I stopped in a Cingular store for help, and they said it should work. My Sync shows full on the signal strength, and it is selected USB, "PC Studio" in the Connections menu.
The only difference that I can see is that here in Spokane, my phone displays an "E" instead of the "3G" (I think) when I was home in Atlanta. I've checked the properties of the Sync in the Network Connections, and it's Dialing: *99**1*1#

hi, I am not able to help you but I have the m500 and need help - perhaps you can help me?
I have cable or thether USB from the phone - - I can't get my XP system to load all the right drivers as it doesn't see the phone as a memory item - I want to take the pics off my camera on the phone - I have the card etc - can u help?
