Question about different Processing speeds on Specific Blackberrys?

I curently own a 8520 and I am thinking about upgrading to the 8900 for faster internet. I know they both run edge speeds. So my question is after reading the Processor Speed: 512 GHz of the 8900 vs the Processor Speed: 528 MHz of the 8520. Could someone please give me some insight as to how this would help speeds? thanks in advance!

Tour or Storm? Need some advice...

Through an unfortunate series of events, I am in need of a new phone. The new BBry Tour is interesting, but I'm curious if things have gotten better (than originally believed) with the touch-screen Storm?

I have had clamshell, bar and WinMo touch-screen phones. My biggest complaint about the latter is the speed and battery life. I like touch-screen, but not if it's subject to errors (and I know the Storm has tactile response, which is better than most WinMo devices).

* I travel, but mostly in-country.
* I need decent battery life, but don't have a problem carrying an extra battery (8-12 hours should suffice).
* Voice quality and coverage are paramount, but accessing the Internet and my PERSONAL email (as well as the company email th...

Question about BlackBerry...

Is it true that BlackBerry doesn't allow access to the internet without a data plan because of the security of the network?

Will these phones use Wi-Fi instead of a data plan?

They changed my renewal date to June 10th so I called with questions about since they changed my new every two do I still have the 30 day test drive. My 30 days will expire on July 10 the phone is set for release on July 12 does anyone know how I can get them to grant me the two day extension so I can get the Blackberry Tour. I have been told that if I take my phone into the store and turn it in before the date they will then clear my new every two and let met upgrade with now problem. Only problem is that I will be without a phone until the release date. I go to the store...

Storm Firmware Update

I just got my firmware update on my Storm. What a welcome change! The camera is much quicker, the video is better, the phone changes from landscape to portrait very quickly, and it has some new features and upgraded icons. What a welcome change! I may have lost all my email but am not sure. My data was backed up so I will restore it to see if anything is missing. I had to call VZ to get my email icons to show on my home page but that was all. The rep said that sometimes they have to jump-start the browser after the update as well but mine was fine. The browser loaded pages more quickly too. Nice move VZ! Very Happy
