BB Service????

It seems t mobile and cing/ att have the best Black Berrys out there, the perl, and the 8800, was wondering if anyone has any input as to what carrier has better reception, or coverage as it may be ?
I know only a few people on t-mobile ( I live in phoenix) and they swear by t-mobile, but when they travel it is sometimes spotty, they went to oklahoma, and did not have good coverage, and the two people I know who have cing/ATT (how could that be if you belive the comercials they have 69 million customers) saw that it works okay, I do not know what that means but I think sometimes people do not want to switch so they do not have to pay the cancelation fees, I think if the had good service they would not need cancelation fees. Anyway anybody h...

BlackBerry data on Rogers

Hi all, I've just ordered a Pearl (hasn't arrived yet) and I'm trying to figure out what plan I need.....I'll be using the phone on Rogers and I currently have a regular phone plan that I do NOT want to change (my system access fee is only 1.00 instead of 6.95). I'm thinking that if I add a mobile internet plan that I'll be able to access data. I'm not to concerned with Email. But the Rogers guys say that it won't work.

Can anyone tell me for sure if it'll work with a regular phone plan plus mobile internet?

Blackberry 7100g (RIM)

🤨
I've been pretty confused ever since I ordered the phone off of Ebay. I know it has a lot of great features. But most websites don't have anything about it, including Cingular, who is its carrier.

I don't know how to get websites on the phone nor how to set up email because when I bought it, it didn't come with any manuals or serial numbers to go off of. How am I suposed to maybe activate the phone?

Mapping Software?

I am looking for mapping website and/or software that will run on the Blackberry web browser in which I can enter in latitude and longitude so it will display a map of a location.

I have tried "Blackberry Maps" as well as Google Maps (Mobile) and they don't seem to have this feature. When I am online with my laptop I can use Mapquest to do this, but the supposed mobile version does not seem to work with my Blackberry, which is an 8700g (tMobile).

Thanks for any and all help!

HTML Emails

Hello, I am new user of the bb pearl, having formerly used the treo 650. I receive many emails from airlines etc. that normally contain graphic boxes. These graphic boxes show up in the pearl as code. It is possible to recieve and display the emails showing the actual graphics not the embedded code ? The way the emails currently come in I have no idea which line of code to open to get the relevant data. Thanks in advance for any thoughts...

cingular Pearl reception?

I am making a move from a Verizon Motorola Q to a cingular based Pearl as part of my company's internal change. I need some real feedback as to how the cingular reception in fringe areas has been; to gain a level of comfort. I waited to get the pearl because it has voice dialing like the Q (which by the way it the best smartphone I've ever owned, as its an important feature for travel. Everyone on this board has always been so helpful in the past....can anyone help me with comments on this question?
Thanks very much everyone, I appreciate it!

pearl troubles!

i've had my pearl for over a month. last week the screen went white and there's been an hour glass going up and down ever since (until it runs out of batteries)

i called tech support and they had me try and reload the applications using the software. every time i double clicked application loader on the desktop manager it went to "not responding..." the tech support guy told me to download the handset software online but i had to do it later because, alas, the bb is my modem...

so i download the device software onto someone else's computer and it crashed their computer (not responding, froze, etc)

i tried on another computer and it did what my computer did...

i am now on my work computer and it went through but once I got to the ...

Blackberry and Verizon

I want to get a Blackberry 8100 (Pearl), but it is currently only available through T Mobile. I understand that it will be available through other cell phone service providers. I am currently signed up with Verizon and would like to get one through them. Does anyone know when the Pearl will be released to Verizon?

Verizon BlackBerry Question

Im considering a Motorola Q or a BlackBerry for Verizon. This is a PERSONAL phone, i just like web browsing and email on my phone. Do email and web browsing count as data and cost me extra money or do they come out of airtime (like if its a tuesday and im on the web for 10 minutes, thats 10 minutes off my airtime)?

Thanks
