does anyone know where I can find the cheapest unlocked s710a? i tried ebay and i've seen around $400 for buy-it-now's but I just wanted to see if anyone can find it cheaper.

Does anyone know how to compress the files on the s710a, I have had 80 songs on it, but now I forgot how to do it...☹️ I went to Sony Ericsson.com, and I got all the programs, but I am very stuck, please help thanks. onecingular

my phone will onlu talk if i put it on speaker phone or use an earbud. I've tried everything but can't seem to get it to work right. When someone calls me and I put it to my ear I can't hear them but they can hear me. I have to put in the ear bud or put it on speakerphone to hear. i have changed the profile from hands free but it still won't work. There is something on the menu called basic handsfree but it says not available at this time. I haven't dropped it or anything. It just appears to be stuck in earbud mode. Please help

I used a PDA screen protector, cut to size. I measured it just inside the outer dimensions of
the screen itself. Since my work requires me to use the metric system, the dimensions are in metric. 41mm X 56mm.
Here is a little tip, left over from my model airplane days to make it MUCH easier to attach the protector and leave out the air bubbles.
Get a cup of water, put one drop of mild dishwashing soap and mix. spray or put a few drops of this mix on the screen. Peel the protector from its backing, don't touch the sticky side. Lay it on the screen, and use a lint free cloth to blot out the water. Then, use a spactula or something rubber to act like a squeegie and slowly work the excess water out of the screen.

hi... does anyone know the size of the lcd screen for the se s710a???? I am looking for the inner dimensions.. I looked at se.com and i cant seem to find them

I went to three carrier stores today, including two Cingular stores, a Sprint store, and a Verizon store. I saw and handled the Sony Ericsson S710a and have to report that the twist top was more than I want to deal with when using a phone. If it were a flip phone I would consider it, but going thru the motions and seeing for myself, I am discontinuing any research on it and opening up the field again.

At the second Cingular Store that I went to, I handled the S710 again and noticed that the top was wobbling and loose from usage.

Too bad. I was in love with this phone.

when the k750 comes, im thinking of getting it..but i have cingular..850 in cali los angeles..how much would my coverage are reception be messed up?? 😁

When will it be available, who will carry it, and at what price?

I love this phone and would like to purchase it...is there any way to adapt this to the Cingular US network? Or does it have to be 800/850 GSM compatable? I really like the features and the price is not to bad.

first off the expansion slot is for sony memory stick duo's right? what is the max capacity in the SE, from what i see sony sells them up to 1 GB, will the S710A accept that?

Also what is the headphone jack on the S710A? is it one that i can plug any standard headphones in?

overall hows the quality when listening to mp3's...is it decent? and also how loud is it through headphones comapared to a real mp3 player or a cd player?

Hi- I am currently having SE K700i which I bought from South East Asia. I would like to change with either SE K750i or Motorola Razr V3 (probably the black one). My question is, do the new SE K750i have the same "snapping" sounds when taking a pictures, like the one on SE K700i? I feel like sometimes it's bothering me, like when I take a picture on my wife on a quite restaurant, the snapping sounds is so loud and sometimes many people look at me when I do that.

I heard that there is an update firmware (or something like that) that can be used to mute the "snapping/clicking" sounds. But I could not find it and I don't know how to use it. I am sorry I am not good at electronic thing.

What about Motorola Razr V3? Does it have a "snappin...

Hi, any ideas on the speed of the charger through USB connected to the PC? I think I notice a slower charge rate versus say a car charger or the A/C charger for in wall. I'm sure it is being there is less power going through this way. It's still a convenient way to charge your phone while at work or at home on the PC. I don't even need a car charger with this setup.

just got it today and love it. however, i have a few questions.. so please bear with me.

- i've tried to store some jpeg pics onto the ms duo from my computer. i've stored it in the DCIM and other file folders with Image as the folder name.

but when i plug it into the phone.. nothing. i can't seem to find any photos i've uploaded. what's up with that? is there like a way to access it or set it so i can access those files from the MS duo?

- also, when you turn off the phone, do you have to slide it open before you can hit the power button off? or can you set a shortcut to power off?

- is there a new fireware upgrade available for the phone? how do you check for your current fireware on the phone?

I picked up a SONY branded MS Duo (NOT Duo PRO) and when I put it in my phone id reads 0MB available. I have tried formatting it every which way using Sony and MS Windows XP software and it works fine in computer and reader but NOT in the phone???

Also, anyone have any idea when a FIRMWARE update is due for this thing? There are lots of quirks that should be addressed via FIRMWARE. Sony Tech Support is CLUELESS and Cingular Tech Support is worse!

Does anyone know if and when the K750i will be out in the US? I read something about Q2. Also, any word on the carrier?
