Palm Treo 700??

A Sprint rep told me that PalmOne was coming out with a Treo 700 series. They had no details other than it had a sliding key pad like some of the other PalmOne PDAs and would be smaller than the 600/650. Has anyone heard of a new series of Treo's?

Treo 650 Accessories - Bluetooth, batters, CLA, etc.

Just received a 650 for replacement of a bad 600. It has no Bluetooth or Car adapter.

1) Any readers have advice on which Bluetooth headsets to buy for the 650?

2) Batteries - Clone or Treo OEM?

3) Car adapter - OEM or cheap clone?

4) Other?

Thanks

How do you put time delays (to dial extensions or PIN for voicemail)

How do you enter time delays when dialing? For example I want to put in a time delay so that the Treo automatically enters my PIN number when accessing email. Also, often times I have contacts with extension numbers. I want to be able to dial the number and after a 5 second delay have the Treo enter the extension numbers?

Treo650 alarm problems and message alerts.

😁 Hope someone can help me. My service is with Verizon Wireless and I have the Treo650. I rely on the alarm clock feature on my cell phones and text messaging/email. The alarm clock does not work on the 650 after the phone has sat unused for an extended period of time such as over night. The phone appears to go to sleep and only wakes up when a call is incoming or a button is pressed on the phone. Can I make adjustments to correct this problem.

My second problem is the messaging alert on the phone. When a text or email is received it plays a short tune and there are no other indications after that. No envelope or tape reels displayed on the main screen to indicate you have a text or email that is unread. This problem has caused ...

please help with verizon treo600 network preferences

Hi, I have a treo600 from verizon. I ran across a problem with the network preference setting. Aparently it is set to never time out, which in this case cost me $179.67 in additional data charges (accumulated within 23hrs because the phone didnt disconnect even after I closed the application which used the connection). Granted Verizon took care of it, but they also locked the setting where you can adjust the time out for a data connection. Does anyone know how to override the lock-out or how to adjust the network timeout otherwise. To find the settings on the treo go to the main screen, tap on prefs, in the top right corner change it to networks then tap on modify. Me and all the other treo owners who have this problem will appreciate any in...

I can receive but not send email with versamail

👿
I tried setting up my AKO(military) account on my treo 650. I receive emails fine but can't send anything out. I've tried setting the out server to cwmx.com and photo.mycingular.com as was suggested on the forum, it still doesn't work. Can anyone who's figured this problem out please help me.

Treo 650 versus my car!

I just got the treo 650 and an Audi A6. The bluetooth is the bane of my existence at this point. I have a motorola v600 which works 99% of the time and a blackberry 7520 (just for data). I am trying to see if the 650 is worthy of being the convergence of these 2 devices.

My problem is that after linking the Audi with my treo (now my third one) the treo resets once per minute and when it comes back to life, the phone defaults to "off." Because I have linked the v600 motorola to the car so I am assuming it is not the car. I also downloaded the carkit patch from the palmone website and it did make reaction time faster between the car and the treo, but it did not solve my once per minute reset issue. Any help??? I need some sort of a...

Graffiti on the TREO 650

I am really leaning towards buying the TREO 650, but I use a number of programs on my Sony Clié TH55 taht require that I input a few sentences or a paragraph. I have grown very use to the Graffiti function and want to still be able to use it.

Does anyone have experience with using Graffiti on the TREO 650 (or 600 as I understand the Graffiti use would be about the same)?

Does it come with the phone?

If not, can you download it for free or for cost?

It is a virtual 'input area' so how much of the screen does that take up?

A few humble quesitons from a man constatnly Ïvolving!

treo650

I have the treo 650 and noticed that after i tried the jabra BT250 but it has software matching problems evan though they reccommed this product.
The best bluetooth to be used is the motorola hs810 headset, it has has perfect pairing and better range....trust me I have tried five different models.

have a 650 and the problems that go along with it

I was a Nextel user for 9 years before tiring of their phone quality. I had the blackberry 7510 and switched to Sprint and the 650.
I have had several issues. First, the bluetooth works fine for only 2-3 calls and then it drops the headset. I have two Jabra BT 250s and one Motorola headset, both are recognized and work great until they stop being recognized. Neither Palm or Sprint have any issues recorded. Other issues I have are:
Backlight cuts out too soon. Phone goes back to desktop and the program you were working on is gone.
I purchased the Voice Signal software off the Palmone website only to find it caused my 650 to reboot constantly. After removing it I have not seen any reboots. They are working on a fix.
The sound quality wh...

Wap settings on T-Mobile USA: none available?

I just got a treo 600 and talked with TMO CS. They advise I need to sign up for their unlimited internet access plan ($19.95/month) in order to have pop3 email access.

With my nokia 6820, which TMO does not support (but through the help of many of you at howard forums), figured out with the wap access under my $39.99 calling plan, can in fact access at least one pop3 account (still trying to figure out how to access multiple accounts - if any has suggestion, let me know).

Back to main question -- do I in fact have to pay extra to get emails on the Treo 600? I can't see to find treo 600 supported by the TMO configurator site or on the palmone.com sites.

Treo600 falls short :(

👿
The Treo LACKS these obvious features. I have two of these phones, (less than two weeks old) so believe me when I say, I liked the Kyocera's better for the UI. They effectively took all the useful functions out of the Palm OS, gave us a camera, and left us with a cool, but troublesome phone. Prepare to re-learn the Palm OS. Many of your 4.0 apps will lock it up.

Believe me I like bringout the phone and watching videos on it in a macho tool happy way, but the gadgets fauil to make up for when you actually start to use the phone.

Benefits over my old Kyocera 6035: Faster processor, more memory, color screen, size, everything else are drawbacks.

-Two hands for everything, no jog shuttle. Great when you are in the car and get a...

Treo 650

The folks at PalmOne need to wise up and bring the Treo 650 out now if they don't want to lose marketshare to other phone/pda combo manufacturers. This will be especially true with the upcoming RIM 7100t.

For some reason PalmOne remind me of the auto company Infiniti. When the brand Infiniti was just coming to market, their PR people were also *****footing around and releasing little snipits of their product line and not committing to anything. People got so tired of their crap that they chose to purchase the Lexus brand instead. Let's see if history repeats itself.
