i love motorola i was wondering if they were going to make a megapixel for the cingular line up?
i was curious to know if motorola will make a megapixel phone for cingular. I ask this becaz i really like moto phones there easy to use and look great too.

Salvageable StarTac?
I was given a StarTac 3000 that had never been used or activated. Is there any carrier that I can activate it with? Granted, I know it's a dinosaur, and it has a standby time of about two hours (if that), but I hate throwing away electronic equipment, and it would be pointless to donate it if they won't be able to activate it either. Any ideas?

Possible release dates for the V551 and RAZR V3...
I stopped by the Cingular store on the way home tonite & spoke with two very nice, if somewhat less than informed salespeople.
They had both heard of both the V551 & RAZR V3. They said they were hoping to get the V551 in stock next Friday, Sept. 17th and the RAZR V3 at the beginning of Oct.
The good news is that the release dates are probably not too far off if it has gotten that far down the chain of command that even the less than knowledgeable salespeople have heard of it...
Just calling it like I see it. 🙂

V220 & V551 possibly share same charger? + V551 Cingular availability
Good afternoon all,
I am in the process of upgrading my three Cingular numbers to GSM phones/calling plans. I need two basic phones (thinking V220) and one more advanced (considered V600..discoed but can still get one from local store...trying to get better availability date of V551 to at least get the latest since I do not upgrade often).
One of my main concerns is trying to have similar charging accessories for all three phones if possible. Any insight?
Also, I have tried 3-4 Cingular stores and no good word on the V551. I am trying to combine these phones with the $60 (850 ro) plan with two $10 family talk lines...promo will probably go away soon for new Q4 plans. If V551 is that far off I will need to make other plans.

Looking on the mot section, I dont see any mention of the MPx (mpx 300 if that so floats your boat... http://motclub.com/html/models/mpx.htm) Anyone know if this is going to make its way to the US, and whats the deal with the A780?? When does it come out, and what network will provide it?

I use t mo, and so far the V600 has been a great phone...Howeer talking to a cingular rep in the store yesterday he said that motorola is recalling the Cingular and ATT versions of the 600 anyone heard anything about that? 😲

1) transfer entire contact lists from Outlook or other PIM
2) transfer MP3 files
I have a v710 phone and access to several software products, including Starfish Truesync and Cadenza, with PIMS including Palm Desktop, Truesync, Outlook, and Lotus Notes. My home PCs are win98 still.
I'm trying to decide whether to buy a bluetooth adapter for a pc, and/or a cable, and/or a transflash card & SD-USB adapter

722 goes for a swim in coffee - display drowns
That's right, I thought I'd test my new 722 in a full cup of warm coffee.
Immediate and complete disassembly for rinsing and drying leads to a functioning phone except internal lcd color display. There's a ghost level image showing a normal display, with an occasional flickering in of a normal intensity. I've also now noted a growing water type stain at the top of the display.
Everything else appears to be working - external display, phonebook, voice dial, etc.
Recommends on a replacement source?

Can you hide SIM Card entries in the phonebook?
I hope somebody knows the answer to this - there's not much action on the V600 forum these days.
I just backed up my phonebook to my SIM card. Not that I plan on swapping SIM cards - but just for safety's sake. I don't mind that the SIM card has a lot of limitations for phonebook entryattributes. It's only a backup.
Now that I have done this, both phonebooks are on display - which is way too much to sort through. If I can hide the SIM card entries, I'm golden. If not, I am going to just blow away the SIM card entries - as the inconvenience would outweigh the benefit.

T720 problems
I have a T720 from Verizon that I have had for a couple years now. I haven't had a single problem up untill lately. I had an extended battery in and as of last week it seemed that it was loosing charge faster than normal. I don't use my phone too frequently, maybe 2 or 3 calls a day tops, and I would hold a full charge for about 3 days. Now It wont hold it for 1 day. I switched back to the original battery, and it's the same thing, actually a little worse since it's a smaller capacity battery. Is the phone just showing it's age or could it be something else?

I just got the V710. i bought it to the beach last week and got a text message. I showed it to four of my friends and we couldn't even read the display. I adjusted the brightness and contrast and it did not help. I wrote to Motorola and they told me that's how the phone is made. So I basically told them I'm a Verizon Wireless employee (which I am) and I would be sure to let my co-workers know that the display can hardly be read in bright daylight. Anyone have any suggestions other than going back to my LG 6000 which I loved?

How do you make mp3s as ringers in a V710?
Just got a v710, and I know it supports mp3s, but how do I get them as my ringers, I have a data cable, but not a usb cable. Verizons get it now doesnt have voice ringtones, so how do I get them? you can eather reply or email me direct slikkwilly02@aol.com
