I would like to know if the phone's display works Vert or Horz when using the camera. I would also like to know if the auto brightness control can be turned off so that the display can be set at max brightness for I am loosing my sight and need all the brightness a display can deliver.

The display doesn't change once you go into the camera mode, so it stays vertical. As for screen brightness, go into your settings,, then select phone, , then select display, and you can set the brightness to the max and it will stay that way.
