Can someone answer a few questions for me?

1. what exactly is the volume bug I have read about , want to see if mine has it.

2. what is the latest software ? Want to check mine to see if it is updated?

3. what is the latest on a firmware update, I think I read at end ov November?

Can I email a ringtone to my LG 5550? I thought I read somewhere that it can be done.
I've been able to send the email with the ringtone attached to my phone, but can't do anything with it from that point.

Is a particular format required? MP3, WAV, MIDI?
After the message is received, how do I save the ringtone attachment so it can be used?

i have the L1400 with cingular and the voice ringtones suck. where can i get real voice ringtones for this phone, 3gupload doesnt offer voice for it. i got some from cingular but they sound like ass. cold it be the speaker, or is it the ringtone?? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

This may be a weird question, but what is the small LED light in the upper right hand corner of the phone for? I assumed it should periodically blink green, or something, to show that the phone is on, but it only lights up when I receive an incoming call. Is this normal? It just seems odd that the outer display looks the same whether the phone is on or off. Thanks for any help or insight on this.

I've done a lot of research, but I still cannot decide. The 6100 is 150 now, but I can get the 6000 for 50 bucks. Is the new phone 100 bucks better than the 6000? I've read alot of the reviews, but they don't compare the phones directly. Anyone out there have experience with both? I guess just because of the price difference, I'm leaning towards the 6000.

Hello! I am strongly considering purchasing the LG VX 4500. I read a "Negative Review" stating that the user can't see who is calling when they are on the phone. I have never known a recent (within the past few years) cell phone to NOT show who is calling when on the other line with someone. Could someone please help and let me know if the VX 4500 does, in fact, have the Call Waiting Caller ID. (Of course, we'd all like to know who is calling on the other line before interrupting the current phone call!)

What is evdo? Is the new LG A7110 a true evdo phone? I thought this technology is only for cdma technology is it?

Trying to find either the OEM Extended Life Batt. for the LG 6100 or a "good" comparable product. All the links here at phone scoop seem to just show the original OEM, not extended... any good links you can help me with appreciated.

Does anyone know how to change the default for the alarm ringer. The default seems to be "ring 5"....I'd like to reset the default.

Hello, I am considering upgrading to the LG7000 over my current LG6000 but dislike the fact that there is no desktop charger for the 7000 at least not one that I have been able to locate. Does anyone know where I might find one if they are indeed available for this model? Any other input that might influence my decision would also be appreciated...such as quirks that might have arisen with the new 7000 model. Thanks in advance for any input recieved.
