I think you definitely should if the device works well. I'd bought this handset in may 2010. The screen use to freeze once in a while, but since yesterday it is stuck on the same screen. No matter what you do, I took the batteries out tried rebooting the phone but still the same result. More over the HTC folks have a lousy policy and customer service. When I called them up today the lady over the phone first had me run couple of reset steps but the device didn't budge, any way after being on the phone for 1/2 hour she transferred me to the another department. Here the guy was more interested in taking my credit card details than to learn about the problem. Anyways he tried to reassure me that mighty HTC may not charge my card if they will fi...

You should seriously consider using spaces and paragraphs to get your point across more cleanly.

I've had my HTC HD2 for about a month now and I love it so far. It was a bit of a learning curve at first but I've got it tweaked just right now with the ability to dual boot to Windows or Android.

So, it sound like you didn't opt for insurance on the phone which is a shame. If the same thing happened to my phone, I'd have a replacement phone within 1 day.

I actually think that HTC makes one of the better phones on the market and I'm sorry that you had this one bad experience.

I have the HD2 and I'v had some of the same issues. the way i fixed it was by downloading a customer WM 6.5 ROM that not only fixes most of the issues it also rund much faster. i have also ported android 2.2 with sence to my HD2. I have been ussing android as a daily operating systeam for the last 3 weeks. you would never know the device didnt come with it. if i where you i would check out the HD2 section over at XDA-foram.

Did you have the issue with losing contacts when you ran the android? I'm wondering if there's a way to transfer my contacts from the main memory to the storage card.

So Cam,

What version of WM are you running now? I've tried a few and ended up reverting back to the stock rom(it was just cleaner and more reliable).

I use Android Froyo on a dual boot but only for the apps(I keep getting buggy problems with the calls if I stay on Android).
