Not quite... if you manage to over come batterie issues and have access to the internet 100% of time, then I understand why you prefer the iPhone.

To say that software bugs are an Android exclusive, that's a total lie. iOS 7 is buggier, Apple keeps releasing update after update to fix bugs and bugs. In the case of Android, bugs vary depending on the manufacturer (most of the cases, like the Motorola camera bugs for instacnce, which only affects Moto devices), not the OS. At least not that frequent.

And I highly dounbt an old Mac can perform as good as new after a few years. Not even updating a Mac.
You can't tell me you can make a Mac running OS 10.5.2 run as good a new one even with updating it to iOS 7.
PC's get infested with Viruses/Spyware depending on the user activity.
A good anti-virus/spyware can take care of this.

I highly doubt u can grab an iPhone 1st gen now can't be a "repectable phone", nor a second gen.

Regarding resolution, Retina Display is not full HD, so your take on resolution is senseless.
