Replying to: Android VS Apple by txtjunky Jul 3, 2012, 7:43 PM
I really don't understand why all the hate from apple. I had android phones for 4 years and they were great (moment and evo). I recently got an iphone 4 though and it is just as great. A lot of people say they are really locked down but I haven't found any apps that apple doesn't carry. It kind of comes down to what you want out of a phone. On android you can definitely customize a lot more. There really isn't anything you can't do to it with enough tinkering. That really wasn't something I missed all that much when I got my iphone. It was fun to customize but it really wasn't something I needed. Most of my time is spent in apps or making calls and while it looks cool getting to said apps, it just wasn't a deal breaker. On top of that, with a jailbroken iphone, you can actually do all of that still. I put swipe, widgets, and a different unlock screen on my iphone. It isn't quite as easy as on android but not impossible like a lot say. You also have access to docking stations, more car audio set ups, and many more phone accessories. Also, putting on more music or movies is as simple as plugging your phone in.
All in all, I would say I prefer apple having experienced both. I plan on getting the 5 when it comes out and after 2 years of that, may very well switch back to android. I have not come across anything from either phone that I couldn't do on the other.
