I'm thinking about getting the evo. If anyone has this phone, what do you like about it and what dont you like about it. Also you top 5 fave apps on that phone and how they perform.

I have a HTC Hero and my GF has a EVO. Compared to the Hero the Evo is MUCH faster, better battery life, larger/better screen. What I don't like on the Evo is the touch sensitive buttons (home, back, menu, search). When I use the phone I tend to accidently hit those buttons. Others I have asked though, say they have no problem (could just be me).

As favorite apps go, the same apps I run on my Hero run on the Evo just faster. Also with the extra RAM (512MB) there's a lot more apps that can be open at one time. Only thing I noticed is on some of the apps they look a little blurry since they appear to have been made for a lower resolution. Its not even that big of a difference just something you may notice if you compare the two.

Funny story about Windows mobile.
We have this thing called the road show for our company where all the devices as of now and the new ones coming out come and set up booths to show off there stuff. I went to the Windows mobile table first... Big mistake! Every phone the lady was trying to present had to have the battery pulled because the phone froze on her and she had a list of excuses of why the phones were doing so. I don't mind window mobile devices to much but would never carry one. But if you like windows mobile I will sell you what fits you.

I personally love my Evo. I had the Hero for 5 months then won an Evo and I don't know if I can switch back to a smaller screen. Every time I grab my gf's Hero I can't see the screen! My batt...

I have had no problems with my phone and after a few tweaks I recommend it to people who are gonna use the features at least. If you have any questions about how to get the most out of your battery then ask away.

Wireless Tether app (free) in the Market works great (must be rooted to use). I'm using 2.0.2 on my Hero without problem and my GF has it on her EVO working great.
