MyTouch Android is a P.O.S.

I don't know what is to blame, Android of T-Mobile's version of it. However, I just tried one of these things, and this particular mix definitely fails.

The menu is just a big unorganized mess. The entire user interface is pretty, but not especially helpful. I would rather have a simple old vertical text menu, not different screen designs for everything.

It can't run Java applications. The phone tells me it doesn't support them. I guess I am now in an Apple-ish world where the phone only supports stuff from the official marketplace.

The web browser is not especially good. It's slow, which might be just due to the MyTouch hardware. Using Opera Mini on the T-Mobile Tap or Highlight is much better than the MyTouch's native brows...

It sounds like you just have a problem with your phone. I have a myTouch and it is not working anything like you have stated. The browser my be a little slow but I not that bad I will have to download opera mini to see.


Now the menu is as simple as you can get it. You can move everything around as you see fit. So that is just a user issue.

What apps are you trying to use anyway. Android is a different operating system. So I would give it time for java to keep or android to switch.
