Never owned a pocket PC but want to get one. The only feature thats important to me is built in Wi-Fi, i want to be able to browse the web on it on my campus which has wi-fi hotspots everywhere. Bluetooth would be cool, but definately not a necessity. What do you guys suggest? Ive been looking and the IPAQ's, as far as i can see they have like 10 different models with wi-fi built in at about that price range, i have no idea which one would be best. Also ive been looking at the asus mypal, but its a little pricy for me. Please someone help out this pocket pc noob.

Nothing in that price range. Samsung i730 has WiFi but in the $450-$600 range.

Check out the Treo 650's on Ebay.

Has been out since November 2004 and bugs have been addressed with SW updates 1.08, 1.11 and 1.12.

Snag off of Ebay, if your going with Sprint you can get ESRP coverage until 12/31/2005. ESRP will cover everything but liquid damage, lost/stolen. It's not supposed to be given to new activations but most Reps have so many new things to keep up with due to the merger, you should be able to find a retail store who'll add ESRP to your account.

If not w/ Sprint, purchase from reputable seller.

Try the XV6700 from Verizon. With a two year contract it is $399. All the features you could want and more.

Yeah you are probably right 😁 . I guess i didn't realize that stuff on the first page of this forum would be so old. It really is too bad that this forum doesn't get more use. I'm guessing each of the individual phone forums are repeating the same Pocket PC tips.

I'd try the HTC MDA/8125, it has wifi w/ windows mobile 5.0 and a bunch of other features and I know you can definitely find it in that price range...I've heard of people getting it for $289
