I was wondering the best way to put ringers on this phone. Also I heard there was a program you could buy for about 40 dollars and then the phone could be used as a modem without having to pay it to Sprint. Has anyone heard of this? Most importantly tho, the ringers.

Since the PPC-6700 is WiFi enabled, as long as you access to a free Hot Spot, you won't have any data charges from Sprint. Sprint does offer an unlimited data access package for use anywhere on the Sprint 1xRTT as well as EVDO Rev 0 networks for $15.00/month called the Sprint Power Vision Access Pack.

Check out ppcgeeks.com . You do not need to spend any money extra money on software to use your phone as a modem. The software is included with the 6700 on the CD. You should only need Vision to use this phone as a modem.

Actually, you don't need Vision. Sprint has a seperate package for Phone as Modem. Right now it's 39.99 a month for unlimited data usage. But to use your phone as a computer modem, which I assume your trying to do. you neeed the Phone as Modem package.

If you have mp3's, use those as your ringtones on your 6700; and save your money. They sound great.
