SX66 Outlook email Help Please

sx66emailproblem

Oct 19, 2005, 8:35 PM
I just purchased a Siemens SX66 and have discovered that I need to set up a pop3 email account on the phone in order to send and receive/forward (etc.) email. Is this correct? Does anybody know how to configure the Pocket Outlook on my phone to send/receive (etc.) because I am not able to and the manufacturer, Cingular, Siemens does not know how to?

Can any SX66 user use Outlook to send/receive? I am not using a work exchange server but a pop3 through Yahoo?

Help???

To set up your pop/imap account, go to your messaging tab, then select menu, then accounts, and I believe it will be under account set-up. Just like on MS Outlook. Once you have filled in all the fields, make sure you select MEdia Net as the connection type.

Be aware that most of the outgoing pop servers are SMTP, which I've come to find out you need to pay for, in order to access them. Oh and most importantly, since you said it's a Yahoo Account, Yahoo wants some money too. LOL You might recall that somewhere on the webpage there's the Yahoo Mail Plus offer.... Guess what?.... Yup you guessed it.... That's your "Key" to access your Yahoo POP3 Mail. Sorry to burst your bubble LOL.

If I may, I'd like to suggest going with GMail instead...
