Looking for phone&carrier that enables surfing while on a call

Hi All,

I'm looking for a powerful Windows Mobile device that will allow me to surf the web while talking on the phone (speakerphone and/or bluetooth headset).

What phone/carrier options do I have?

Suggestions?

I can't seem to find a phone that enables simultaneous web surfing and cell phone talking.

Thanks

At&t is the place to go!

The HTC 8525, 8925 (Tilt) and the Treo 750 are all great Windows Mobile Pocket PC phones, and their 3G networks let you both talk and surf the web at the same time. (It also works on the Smartphones, too.)

Thanks for the tips.

I've also learned that some phones that have Wi-Fi connections can connect to the Internet using Wi-Fi (If it's available) and allow one to also talk on speakerphone via the cell connection. However, I'm looking for the apparent 3G capability of simultaneously surfing and speaking using the cell phone connection and not have to use Wi-Fi

I have a Cingular 8125, currently; which is the older version of the HTC 8525 and the 8925 (Tilt). It lacks 3G, but I like it. I want a Treo 750 (unless they update it soon) or a Tilt. You can't go wrong with any of those.

You could also go with the HTC Mogul on Sprint's network. It was just updated with a firmware update with EVDO Rev A which means blazing fast speed and access to talk and wb simultaneously.

Sprint's everythign plan also includes unlimited text and data usage, which the other carrier's can't say at this point. 99.99 per month

Sprint sucked in my area, but the Mogul was nice. I'll agree: if Sprint works in your area, and that's your choice, choose the Mogul. If at&t, then the Tilt, 8525 (if you can find one), or the Treo 750.

But then again, EVDO is data only, which means you can't do them simultaneously on the Mogul.

In the US, AT&T is really your only option for voice and data (unless you get something with wifi). If you're using the phone finder, anything with WCDMA 850/1900 will work (pretty much everything now has HSDPA)... HTC has some nice stuff coming out, Touch Dual is going to have a US version as well.

And then theres the XPERIA X1 from Sony Ericsson later on in the year.

Hey Chocolateman 85006 what do you think of the newer HTC Touch Pro, having used a HTC smartphone for quite sometime, I'm a newbie to the WinMo thing, and this will be my first smartphone, I'm really digging the Touch Pro, I really am, excited about that VGA screen, and TouchFLO 3D, and the more memory, not so excited about the measly 1340 battery though, it shoud be 1500 or more!!!

I'm curious if the already existing higher capacity batteries on ebay will work on the newer Touch Pro,...hmmm???
