Is there any news or rumors that Verizon will be carrying the Treo 650?

Hi,
will the Sprint CDMA Treo 650 work with Verizon's CDMA network?
If yes, will they activate it?
Is there a technical reason for why it would not work?
Thanks for your help

Hey,
Sorry to let you down but No, Verizon only activates verizon phones, and its not a matter that they won't its a matter that they can't. Verizon only knows verizon "ESN Numbers" (the number that specifies which ohone you have) and it wont be able to find the phone or in this case the PDA. I wish they could I want a treo 650 so bad as well! But, dont worry to much longer verizon should be getting them within the next year.

Its looking like Verizon WILL be offering the 650. Check out www.mytreo.net. They are taking pre-orders for the Verizon 650, and are estimating that it will ship in the third week of April!

Verizon will not be able to carry the Treo 650 because Sprint bought the exclusive rights to the CDMA version of the Treo just like Cingular bought the exclusive rights to the GSM version hence no T-mobile 650's either.

WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG....

The TREO650 will be available to all VZW business customers starting the 11th of this month and all consumers on or about the 25th.

Good news for everyone who wants a Treo650 on the VZW network.

No. I do not believe that the 650 will be released for Verizon or T-mobile, but I guess we will have to see.
