Does anyone know if Verizon is even testing the Treo 650?

A VERY reliable source says NO and that they will not carry it.

Can you reveal the source? Because other threads in this Forum indicate a possible 2nd Quarter (May 1st) VZW release for the 650.

I was informed told we will be getting it at the end of this year 2005! I WANT ONE SO BAD. Sprint had the Treo 600 a year before verizon got it but they did, and its the same with the 650, our turn is the end of this year (around October)

I have been doing a lot of research and have gotten the run around. I just went out and got the 600 yesterday. I love the latest and greatest, but I rather save the $$ and get the 600 now and if I like it just get the next latest and greatest Treo in a year. At this rate by the time the 650 comes out I will be eligible for another upgrade anyway!! The 600 is proven to work on their network and is $200 less than what the 650 will be when it finally comes out. Remember Verizon has the Bluetooth class action, so this might factor into the equation since the 650 has advanced bluetooth capability.

Just some thoughts. If you can wait, wait because whether it is the 650 or not something better is bound to be released.

I spoke to a messaging software provider that works with all carriers. Bottom line: earliest: April, latest June or July.

Issue is not so much testing as business. First, VZW supposedly has a large inventory of 600s it wants to work down and Sprint and Cingular grabbed nearly all of the 650 production since it's introduction.

Looking at this product but uncertain whether to spend the bucks. Should I hold out for the i700 with Windows CE?
