yes, the treo can handle that. if you are a microsoft office user, there is an application that comes with the Palm OS desktop software called, Documents to Go(DTG). it allows you to view/edit/create documents in either a mobile format for just your device or view/edit/create documents in the native microsoft office format so that you can take it between your handheld and computer and not lose any information or functionality.

along with Word, DTG is able to do all of that with Excel and Powerpoint as well. in Excel you can create macros and algorithms the same was as you do on your PC. it's fully functional. i have run into some limitations with powerpoint, but that's understandable with the limited space/processing power available ...

Well now Im having second thoughts because I'm not sure if i should go with something like the E2 or a treo. I hear they're both really buggy as far as freezing etc. What about alternatives?

don't know anything about the E2 or TX...

as far as being buggy and freezing on my treo? i only have the problem with a few 3rd party softwares, and when someone tries to call me right when i'm making a call. otherwise, i don't have enough problems to complain about. every mobil operating system freezes up on devices like these. compare Palm OS to windoze, and you'll see that Palm is def more stable.

Screw it I'm not hearing too much about the innovative benchmark of palm 👀 . they seem to suck even though its a stable os. I decided to go with the the htc mongul 😳 🤤 . now i gotta deal with verizon's suckky phone output and wait foreverrrrrrr for it to come out. 👿 Makes me want to switch to get it from another carrier!! 😢

yep. like sprint. who has a rev. a update for it. and a stronger data network. and you don't have to worry about 80% of it's functionality being locked out.

i'll agree that Palm has been pretty stagnate over the last few years, but i still think they have a better OS than microsoft. but HTC is def producing the best hardware today.
